PAWS Officer Team
Lila Baca (she, her, hers), President: Hi everyone! My name is Lila Baca and I am from Santa Fe, NM. I am majoring in Health, Medicine, and Human Values with minors in Music, Statistics, and Chemistry. I am passionate about advocacy around sexual violence and intimate partner violence. Outside of school and work, I love to ride horses, pet doggos, and drink coffee. I look forward to serving out UNM as PAWS President!
Ashton Lawler (they, them), Vice President: I’m Ashton, originally from Texas. I love learning new things and consuming caffeine. On the other side of the spectrum, I also love watching television shows while curled up with my golden retriever. I'm very enthusiastic (and slightly over-caffeinated) about intersectional feminism and the LGBTQIA+ community. A few other things about me include that I’m a genderqueer lesbian and I say “y’all” way too much.
Francisca Gridley (she, her, hers), Treasurer: Hi, my name is Francisca Gurrola and I am PAWS’s Treasurer. I have been in PAWS for 2 years and am excited to participate in this group once again! I enjoy learning about different advocacy issues, reading and listening to music. Hope to catch y’all at a meeting!
Corrina Klein, (she, her, hers), Special Events Coordinator: Hi all! My name is Corrina, and I will be a Junior at UNM this coming fall. I am studying Political Science with a double major in Spanish, and a minor in Health, Medicine, and Human Values. Advocacy, especially for wellness, is a cause that is very close to my heart. When I am not studying or working, I really enjoy running, checking out local coffee shops, going to concerts, and hanging out with my dog, Tuco. I am very excited to be the PAWS Special Events Coordinator for this coming academic year, and I am looking forward to supporting and advocating for the UNM community!
Rebekah Gridley (she, her, hers), Social Media Chair: My name is Rebekah Gridley and I am an undergraduate in my final year at UNM pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. I came from out of state, and one of the most fulfilling places I found community in was PAWS. I have a wide variety of passions that I have been able to expand through advocacy work with PAWS including, for example, my love of all things art! Overall, being a part of PAWS has been one of the best experiences in my time at UNM!
